SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

Advancing Medical & Health Research

The Skill Development Training Scheme, supported and managed by the National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) under the National Backward Classes Finance & Development Mission (NBCFDM), aims to empower individuals from backward classes by equipping them with essential skills for gainful employment. The scheme is designed to bridge the skill gap and provide vocational training to individuals from economically disadvantaged communities, thereby improving their employability and overall socio-economic status.

The primary objective of the Skill Development Training Scheme is to enable backward class individuals, particularly youth, to acquire industry-relevant skills in various fields such as information technology, retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and more. The training programs are tailored to meet the needs of different sectors, ensuring that beneficiaries are prepared for both self-employment and wage employment opportunities.

Under this scheme, eligible candidates receive financial assistance for skill development training from recognized training institutes. The training is offered in both short-term and long-term programs, depending on the chosen vocation. Additionally, the scheme often covers expenses related to training materials, transportation, and other necessary resources, thus reducing the financial burden on participants.

To qualify for the scheme, applicants must belong to backward classes as defined by the government and meet specific socio-economic criteria. This initiative primarily targets individuals who lack formal education or those looking to improve their existing skill sets for better job prospects.

By focusing on skill development, NBCFDC aims to enhance the livelihood opportunities for marginalized communities, thereby fostering economic independence, reducing poverty, and promoting social inclusion. Ultimately, the Skill Development Training Scheme plays a crucial role in enabling individuals from backward classes to achieve sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the nation's economic growth.
